Our first blog post is about our first outdoor event - an evening of opera in the Italian Garden at Hodroyd Hall! The Hall's very own Stephen Aviss was joined by international star, soprano Natasha Day, and maestro for the evening, Philip Voldman. The audience were treated to pearls of the opera world on a balmy summer's evening, listening to the music of Verdi and Puccini whilst shaded by the Cypress trees. The perfume of lavender accompanied the quaffing of Prosecco, as a little bit of Italy came to West Yorkshire...
